Born in 1950, in the small town of Ramnicu Valcea in Romania, Rody was the child of an artist who was educated in Paris.  Rody, with the encouragement of her father, graduated at the Fine Arts Academy in 1974.  Since that time, she has made her living with her art.  Influenced by Toulouse-Lautrec, Utrillo and Bernard Buffet and her love of Paris, her distinct and individual vision of the city has created the success which has brought her the great honor of being given a studio in the Paris City Hall in 2000.  In 1989, Paris proclaimed Rody an Honorary Citizen of the Montmartre Republic.  Her paintings have shown world wide in both galleries and museums.  She has works in both public and private collections internationally
