1960年生于台南，师大美术系毕业后，赴纽约市立大学攻读艺术硕士，现任北教大人文艺术学院院长。巧用多元媒材与形式，将受西方影响的创作思维结合东方精神，捕捉回忆、生活、母体文化，深蕴文人的雅致。心外无物系列回归艺术主体，从「心」出发，是自我意识与重视主体的精神，在创作历程上的个人觉醒和思想解放。

　　Born in 1960, Tainan. After graduated from National Taiwan Normal University, Guo obtained his M.F.A. at City University of New York. He is currently the dean of College of Humanities and Arts, National Taipei University of Education. Employing a wide variety of media, his works fused the Western culture with Oriental spirit, capture memories, the moments in life, and root of matrix culture, imbued with literati aesthetic. ‘Nothing Beyong Mind' series is Guo's self-consciousness and the emphasis on the subjectivity.
