李新建
1982—1990 毕业于四川美术学院自愿赴西藏拉萨工作，在西藏自治区革命展览馆担任展览策划，展览设计工作，先后策划设计了《西藏自治区慨况展》、《西藏历史文物展》《北京民族文化宫》等展览。

1985年应美国著名波普艺术家罗伯特·劳森伯格（Robert Rauschenberg）邀请协同一起工作，设计制作《美国艺术家罗伯特·劳森伯格环球巡回展览》展场广告。

1989年参加《中国现代艺术展》北京中国美术馆，作品包括《梵呗哲蚌》油画，《喜玛——朗玛——海拔八千八百五十八》系列行为艺术图片。

1991—1994 于巴黎国立高等美术学院宾卡斯(Abraham Pincas)教授“绘画与技法工作室”学习。

1993—1995 分别3次在巴黎，北京（司马台长城）做了有关“万”字行为艺术活动。

1997 受美国纽约尤迪卡基金会邀请（SCULPTURE SPACE,INC.UTICA,NY）参加纽约驻留项目。

1998 纽约返回巴黎开始着手写《万字侦探》(文本观念艺术——非符号化设计——后十五世纪未来人类考古学)。

现生活于北京为职业艺术家。

Li Xinjian

1982-1990 Graduated from the Sichuan Fine Art Academy. Volunteered to work in Tibet. Worked as designer for the Exhibition Hall of the Tibetan Autonomous Region in Lasa. Designed and planned Profile of the“Tibetan Autonomous Region Exhibition”. Curated the “Historical Antique Exhibition of Tibet.”1985, Invited by Robert Rauschenberg, an American artist, to design an advertisement for World Tour Exhibit of Rauschenberg. 1989, Participated“Contemporary Art in China”at National Art Museum of China, works including oil painting series,“Buddhist Chanting of Prayers Zhaibung,”and photos of performing art“At Sea Level 8858 Hima-Langma.”1991-1994, Studied the materials, techniques and skills of oil painting at Picas Studio (Abraham Pincas), National Academy of fine arts, Paris, France. 1993-1995, Staged "Swastika" three times respectively in Paris and Beijing (on the Great Wall). 1997, Invited by the New York Yutica Sculpture Foundation (Sculpture Space Company, Utica NY, Etats-Unis) to participate in the Artist Resident Program. 1998, Left New York and back to Paris, began to write the book“Swastika Detection”(Text Conceptual Art - Non-Symbolic Design - Human Archeology after the Fifteenth century).
Recently lives and works in Beijing as a professional artist.
