何岸出生于1971年，是中国70后最具代表性的艺术家之一，何岸的作品广泛运用金属广告板、混凝土、霓虹灯等工业材料，很大程度反映着中国城市化、工业化和全球化飞速发展所带来的物理和心理冲击。没有情感和意识的冰冷材料背后，是何岸试图探索的都市情感的真理，或暴力或细腻，或冷酷或浪漫。
他曾在世界各地举办过个展：包括澳大利亚当代艺术中心（2017）、比利时Daniel Templon画廊（2014年）；也参加过许多重要的国际群展，例如：波普之上，余德耀美术馆，中国上海，2016；后波普：东方遇见西方，萨奇美术馆，英国伦敦，2014；卡内基国际艺术展，卡内基美术馆，美国匹兹堡，2013；约会2008，里昂当代艺术馆，法国里昂，2008等。
