Reinoud Oudshoorn 荷兰当代极简艺术家，毕业於荷兰阿尔特兹艺术大学(AKI)，现居住创作於阿姆斯特丹，执教於荷兰皇家艺术学院。Reinoud Oudshoorn 以构筑空间的极简雕塑著称，主张「雕塑应创造比作品本身更大的空间」，「消失点」是每件作品的开端，尽情延伸空间表述的可能，由线延展成面，再由面砌出空间的存在。展览经歷遍及欧美，曾於阿姆斯特丹市立博物馆(Stedelijk Museum)，佛多尔美术馆(Museum Fodor)展出。作品於阿姆斯特丹市立美术馆(Stedelijk Musuem Amsterdam)、荷兰Akzo Nobel Art Foundation、荷兰银行(ABN AMRO)、德国私人美术馆(Sammlung Schroth)等永久收藏。

　　Reinoud Oudshoorn 学院时期作画，直到博物馆展览后，开始关注空间的创作。使用铁、钢材、毛玻璃、木质作为创作材质，并用数学的方式计算线条与视角，将他手绘的草稿製成雕塑，这些材质的选择取决绘画上的特性，铁指石墨；磨砂玻璃是深度；木质定义纹理。他的灵感来源於自己家乡的氛围，地景、薄雾、海岸线的形状，并用中性的墙壁或是地板上作为他创作的空间。

　　Reinoud Oudshoorn的雕塑作品给予有形物体的有限性或是无形物体的永恒性，整体散发出一种让人沉思的氛围及让人进入到冥想的境界，像雪花般小碎片黏著在窗边的寧静。他的作品削弱了现代雕塑的特质－量体感、材质、现实的美，他的计算成了再现与幻觉，企图在雕塑及非雕塑之间走出一条自己的路，如同他一贯的声明「雕塑应创造比作品本身更大的空间」，雕塑不仅呈现自身的量体，也并非只是一种空间的减法，而是创造出不断延伸的空间，而这样的质量，可以存在人的心理。

　　对於空间的极简化及打破造型艺术的领域，以纯粹方式传达深刻的内心思想，过去亦有许多艺术家使用这样的表现形式创作。如抽象表现主义Abstract Expressionism，色域绘画 Color-Field Painting 的代表人物Barnett Newman，他强调绘画的平面特质，使纯粹的色彩展现绘画表现的极大可能。 另一位代表人物 Mark Rothko，则使用纯色大面积的色块，含蓄地表现心灵的流动，使观眾的思绪达到神性，沟通人类共通基本的情感。 而荷兰风格派运动(De Stijl)的主张，是让作品的外型为几何形状，并使用逻辑、数学运算的方式来做作品，让作品达到视觉的平衡。

　　过去的绘画，是为了创造空间，也为了将空间从平面绘画中解放而產生许多的激辩，而Oudshoorn的作品则为世界创造另一种窗口，在白墙、在地板，他将创作定义为一种载体，观者在接近墙面的那一刻，便会可以体验一种图像，而这样的图像让空间感变得与眾不同，走进消失点为1.65M的无限领域。
