Born in August, 1946, Chengdu city of Sichuan Province, Mr. Peimin Xia has been an artistic editor for many years and dedicated to oil painting and woodcut painting. He nowadays mainly draws Chinese traditional ink painting, particularly in figure and flower-and-bird. He is Vice Chairman of China National Academy (Guizhou Province Creation Base) for Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, Vice President of Guizhou Nationality Academy of Chinese Painting and Calligraphy, Council Member of Shanghai Association of Chinese and Foreign Culture and Art Exchange, Honorable Chairman of Chinese Artists Association of Huaxi District, Guiyang city, Guizhou Province, Visiting Lecturer of Shanghai Theatre Academy. His artworks has been displayed in many art exhibits in many cities and obtained many prizes and published in magazines and newspapers, which also been collected by many people both overseas and domestic. Mr. Xia is nominated as “Excellent Artist both in art skills and moral integrity”, issued by China Federation of Literary and Art . He has also been selected as “Best Teacher for National Art Exhibit Competition for Teenagers of Guizhou Province” , which is issued by Ministry of Culture and Ministry of Education in China. He is advisor for China Youth Art Education Development Forum. Mr. Xia has passion for charity events. He has donated his artworks for big charity events.

Been invited by Shanghai City, he is the first artist from China’s southwestern who displayed his individual art shows in Shanghai twice within one year，widely praised and highly applauded by the critics and public media,which made him famed broadly. Mr. Xia's artworks have unique style and profound foundation, His creation and combination have ingeniously mingled western colors and eastern inks. Brother Xia’s works display not only western and Chinese style of shape, color, but also implies the capability of Chinese traditional ink and brushwork, which is indeed rare. Thus his artworks are excellent in freehand-style which implies accurate shape, capability of using ink, lines liquidity, elastic of brushwork and ink differs from heavy, light, wet and dry.
